My name is Madison Auerbach, also known as Artist In Red. I’m a Houston-based Artist and the Published Author of A MAGNIFICENT DISPLAY OF INSANITY, available now! My journey into art began during one of the most transformative periods of my life—my recovery from addiction and alcoholism. May 2020 was a pivotal time in my life. Squeezing vibrant streams of paint straight onto the canvas became my passion, and since then, art has fed my soul and reignited my love for life.

 

My creative journey is deeply personal. Every canvas tells a story—of struggle, survival, and ultimately, healing. My artwork is a reflection of the emotional and spiritual growth I've experienced, and it’s infused with the light and compassion I wish to share with others. Through both my writing and painting, I aim to give voice to the raw, beautiful chaos that has shaped who I am today.

I specialize in what I call “Abstract Splash Art,” a style that's both playful and sophisticated. I work primarily with acrylic paint and resin, allowing the flowing motion of the splashes to mirror the momentum and emotional depth of my life. Each piece is a sensory experience meant to spread hope, joy, and connection.

I often paint live at art shows, donating the proceeds to support the homeless community—another way I channel purpose through my work. I believe we are all artists at heart, though many lose touch with their creativity over time. My mission is to inspire others to reconnect with that creative spark and to keep the spirit of art alive—one vibrant splatter at a time.
